Great location for sightseeing...central to most sites and walkable to most

No restaurant at the hotel and none within the direct area

We were very pleased with this hotel. We wanted to find a hotel close to major attractions but one that also had a pool and not break the bank. The Alrdovandi Residence City Suites filled all our wants. From the second we walked into the door the staff were extremely helpful and want to help. The room was very large and updated with a mini kitchenette and a very comfortable bed. The pool was very large and there was never more than a few people at the pool so we never had to fight for pool loungers. The breakfast was included and very good.

The shower head was in the middle of the bath tub which was difficult to use and made a mess. Our room was in the front of the building on the first floor which was a little bit noisy from traffic.

i liked that the room was big and clean, and that the bed was comfortable.

Staff were excellent - extremely helpful and friendly. Room was very spacious and of a very high standard in decor and cleanliness. It was very near to a beautiful park and only about 15 minutes walk into Rome City Centre. It was about 10-15 minutes walk to a lovely restaurant (Rossini).

It was about 15 minutes walk to the nearest supermarket.

The suite is really comfortable, clean, stuffed with everything you might need and even more. All the hotel staff is friendly, ready to help with anything you want, easy in communication. Nice green and quiet area, very close to Villa Borghese.

It's not the thing we didn't like exactly, but all the guests should be aware that the Residense is quite a long (but pleasant) way from metro or the center, so be ready to walk or take a taxi.

Excellent cleaning. Extremely spacious. In terms of value for money for apartment rentals, it's unimaginable to get that kind of value in London -- maybe in Birmingham or Manchester.

The downside is the location. It's north of a giant, lovely park. There is no public transport through the park. So you've got to go far east, or far west, to get anywhere. This is probably why it's cheap. If you are not in a hurry, and don't mind the long walks through the park, or riding in taxis, or long tram rides, then it's perfect. If you're trying to "see everything" this will cramp your style.

Excellent hotel. Value for money. Excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful personnel. Quiet environment. Spacious room. Super ! Kitchinette in the hotelroom is very well equipped. Very nice swimming pool on the hotel premises. Hotel is situated at a 12 min. walk from the nearest metro station (Flaminio). Bus 3 stops in front of the hotel and brings you to the Colosseum in 40 min. Nearest supermarket (Carrefour) is at a 10 min. walk. Two restaurants at 8 min.walk. ATM at 8 min. walk. Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna at 5 min. walk, Museo Nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia at 10 min. walk. Next time we go to Rome, we will certainly stay here again.

Hotel staff very freindly and helpful. Large bright rooms (stayed in two) with 12' ceilings. Very clean and well equipped kitchen suits. Large (for europe) comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet was awesome (best we had for a month in europe).

Expensive for location (almost $300 Euro's for two nights) far from downtown and subway station. We asked for non-smoking but got a smoking room (ashtrays) and when someone lit up in others rooms it filtered right into our room. Transferred to other room on higher floor and same thing. No restaurants nearby.

Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Having a swimming pool was a nice facility after all the sightseeing. The Villa Borghese is a lovely location and public transport is very convenient once you become familiar with the different routes. We enjoyed a good breakfast each day before setting out on our travels.

The apartment was excellent, spacious, very well decorated and maintained and functional, and the rate very good. Staff was simply superb, kind and helpful and completely without the usual Roman tourist service sarcasm. The swimming pool was perfect for hot afternoons. My child was particularly happy for seeing some parrots of the nearby zoo from our window, and the proximity of the beautiful Borghese park. The area, Parioli, is neat upper class and suitable for those who feel a bit nervous about safety or noise at the center of Rome.

Of course, it would have been nice to stay at a walking distance from the center, but we knew the location in advance and were prepared. Walking to town through the park was not easy, but as soon as we realized that the tram (stop 50m from the apartment) is a convenient way of getting to a metro stop or much closer to the center, the problem was solved. Taxi from center was around 8 euro only.

Near Villa Borgese. We had a big room, you can cook over there if you want, also there are very good breakfast

Quite far from the center, on food it will take about 25 minutes,I did not like the bathroom, quite old

Location is beautiful, hotel located in Parioli that is the most elegant region of Roma, near Villa Borghese, by15 minutes walk to Piazza del Popolo. Quality of the hotel exceeds all expectations. Rooms are large, well equipped. There is small kitchen in the appartment. Linen and towels are always fresh. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is abundant, including variety of cold and hot, fresh fruits and salads, real coffee, orzo, cappuccino, sweets, cakes, etc. Beautiful, there is outdoors swimming pool. The hotel is reaaly more than 4 stars, being however not so expensive. According to my experience, it is the best hotel for that price there in Roma.
